Alright so many of you know that I bought a Carina second-hand recently and it turned out that while the head is legitimate (Iplehouse confirmed), the body is a recast. I got my money back and things are working out good now, but I’m going to try and use this to help educate others before getting rid of the body.
I own 7 Iplehouse dolls, all of them are legitimate and six were purchased directly from the company. I’m one of those humans who notices details and thanks to some of my neurocies (that’s a word now ok), I pretty much remember any and all information about Iplehouse dolls and general BJD info.
TDLR: I know my shit when it comes to Iplehouse dolls and even I was fooled until it arrived.So under the cut is how to avoid buying a recast, and if you bought a doll and are unsure what to look for, and how to handle it if the worst comes true.
