Safer Library Spaces is a website designed to make it easier for vulnerable communities and those targeted by fascistic violence to find out what relevant policy is on the books regarding their safety at their local library.

The content of the search database is largely user-generated (i.e. it helps if you look up library policies and submit entries to the site, so that way more people can benefit from its use). Submitted library policies are analyzed by librarians to determine whether or not they consider the library a trusted space, whether it’s ambiguous, or whether there are no protections in place against fascistic organizing.
